#no.1 Beat Planning & Route Management

Upload your beat plan. Track adherence live. Stop finding out at month-end.

Simple beat plan management that your managers actually use every day. No complex route algorithms, no week-long setup, no training manuals – just your existing beat plans on a live dashboard with real-time adherence tracking.

The beat plan lives on your desk. The actual beat lives in your salesman's head

Monday morning, you hand out beat plans. Tuesday, everything looks fine.

Wednesday, your more experienced salesmen start "optimising" - skipping the tier-3 outlets that are hard to sell to, doubling up on the easy wins, and reshuffling based on whatever's convenient. Thursday, the beat plan is a suggestion. Friday, it's a memory. And by the time you get the weekly report, half your territory hasn't been covered.

You know this is happening. Your ASMS know it's happening. Your salesmen know you can't prove it.

Every field operation in India runs on this exact dynamic and it costs you coverage, retailer relationships, and sales you never even knew you missed.

Three steps. No learning curve.

Beat plan management shouldn’t take a month to set up.
Here’s how it actually works in MyFieldHeroes.

Upload your existing beat plan

Already have beat plans in Excel? CSV? A Google Sheet? Just upload the file. MyFieldHeroes reads the outlet list, the assigned salesman, and the visit frequency. No reformatting, no 30-field import wizard.

Assign beats to salesmen

Each salesman sees their assigned beat on their phone the outlets they need to visit, the sequence, and the expected visit frequency. No paper beat books. No WhatsApp forwards. No phone calls asking "which shops today?"

Track adherence in real time

As the day progresses, every GPS-verified check-in auto-updates the adherence dashboard. Your ASM sees who's on beat, who's drifted, which outlets are skipped. Alerts fire the same day-not at month-end.

We chose simple beat on purpose.

A lot of field force software promises Al-powered route optimisation. It’s an impressive demo. It also breaks the moment it meets an Indian distributor’s reality – because your actual beat plan is shaped by dozens of factors no algorithm understands: which retailers prefer which salesman, which areas have political sensitivity, which outlets pay on time, which ones want visits only on Tuesdays, and which relationships took three years to build.

So we didn’t build that. Instead, we built the beat planning feature that ASMs actually wanted: a dead-simple way to upload the beat plan you already have, see whether your team is following it, and act when they’re not.

We were live with beat plans for all 45 field reps in 90 minutes. Our last tracking app took us 6 weeks to configure and we never got the beat plans working right.

Teams go live in under a day

No algorithm training, no data science team, no consultants required.

ASMs understand it in 10 minutes

If it needs a training manual, it's not the right tool.

Your market wisdom stays intact

We track adherence to the beat plan you built - we don't replace it.

What beat planning actually needs to do

Live Adherence Dashboard

The one dashboard your ASMS will actually check

Most field tracking dashboards try to show everything at once and end up showing nothing. The MyFieldHeroes beat adherence dashboard surfaces the three questions every ASM asks every morning: Who’s on beat today? Who’s drifted? And what needs to happen before lunch?

Bulk upload from Excel or CSV

Import your existing beat plans in one go. Up to thousands of outlets per file. No manual data entry, no "import wizards" that take two hours to learn.

Visit frequency tracking

Set each outlet's expected visit frequency — daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or custom. MyFieldHeroes tracks whether the frequency is being met, per outlet, per salesman, per territory.

GPS-verified visit confirmation

Beat plan adherence is only meaningful if the visits are real. Every outlet check-in is GPS-verified and photo-proofed, so "visited" means actually visited — not marked from a tea stall.

Same-day drift alerts

When a salesman skips a scheduled outlet or drifts from the assigned beat, the ASM gets an alert the same day. Not at month-end. Not in the weekly report. Same day, while there's still time to act.

Per-outlet, per-rep adherence reports

Slice the data any way you need it — adherence by salesman, by territory, by zone, by week, by outlet. Download, share, present to your RSM whenever you need it.

Beat map visualisation

See your entire beat plan on a map. Each salesman's territory is colour-coded. Covered outlets show as green pins, skipped as red, pending as yellow. A week of coverage in one glance.

Industry use cases

How different teams use beat planning

Beat drift caught on day one, not month-end

FMCG-Distributor beat plans

Upload your retailer master and assign outlets to salesmen by territory. Track daily, weekly, and fortnightly beat cycles. Flag slow-moving outlets that aren’t getting covered. Built for the way Indian FMCG distribution actually runs – not for Coca-Cola’s SFA platform.

Dispatchers see adherence live-reassign in real time

Cable operators - Service beat plans

Assign daily service call lists and installation beats to technicians. Track which addresses were covered, which were missed, and which jobs took longer than expected. Dispatchers see adherence live and can reassign when something’s running late.

Full doctor coverage visibility every single day

Pharma - MR doctor beats plans

Upload your doctor master with visit frequency per doctor (weekly, fortnightly, monthly). Track doctor visit coverage live. Catch which MRs are skipping their low-potential doctors. Combine with GPS verification and auto-DCRs for complete field visibility.

Questions people ask before Signing Up.

Can MyFieldHeroes auto-optimise routes based on distance or traffic?

No — and this is a deliberate choice. Real Indian beat plans are shaped by dozens of factors no algorithm can understand: retailer relationships, payment terms, political sensitivity, outlet preferences, and local market knowledge. We’ve seen too many teams struggle with “optimised” routes that make no sense on the ground. MyFieldHeroes lets you upload the beat plan you already have — built with real market wisdom — and tracks adherence against it. That’s what works.

What file formats can I upload beat plans in?

Excel (.xlsx), CSV, and Google Sheets exports. The upload needs to include outlet name, outlet address or GPS coordinates (we can geocode addresses for you), assigned salesman, and visit frequency. Our onboarding team handles the first upload with you and sets up a template you can reuse going forward.

How quickly can I set up beat plans for my whole team?

Most teams are live with full beat plans in 30–90 minutes. If your beat plans are already in a spreadsheet, you’re looking at the faster end of that range. If outlets don’t have GPS coordinates yet, we’ll geocode them from addresses during setup — that adds about 30 minutes for a few hundred outlets.

Can I change beat plans mid-month?

Yes. Beat plans can be updated any time. Add new outlets, remove closed ones, reassign territories, or change visit frequencies from the admin panel. Changes sync to the salesmen’s phones in real time — next time they open the app, they see the updated beat.

How does adherence tracking work when a salesman visits an outlet not on the beat plan?

Unplanned visits are logged as “off-beat visits” and shown separately on the dashboard. They’re not penalised — sometimes salesmen get opportunistic visits, and that’s fine — but they’re tracked so you can see the pattern. If a salesman is consistently making off-beat visits, it might mean the beat plan needs updating or there’s something worth investigating.
